Product Idea: Usb Security Key

Sample Product photo without engraving
Above: Samples of what it would look like

A usb drive packed full of security tools, including a full blown bootable custom linux distribution loosely based on Backtrack 4. The flash drive will be at least 2GB (probably 4GB), laser engraved with the iStoleYour.info logo and will be key shaped to fit the theme, and for convenience (it lives on your keyring).

It will be made of at least 3 partitions, and have thousands of practical uses for both white and black-hat hackers alike. They key will cost in the range of $60-90, and once bought customers would be given unique registration codes allowing access to full online usage tutorials, and all the files needed to recreate their key's if lost or damaged.

This document is my way of defining exactly what the product will be, gauging interest and getting feedback from potential customers & my own notetaking on how I will achieve this. It's a work in progress.

Partition 1: Bootable linux security distribution

Backtrack4 linux distribution
Above: Backtrack4 is the highest rated and acclaimed Linux security distribution to date

This would be based on the Backtrack 4 linux distribution, with plenty of additions and customisations to set itself apart. This distribution is extremely powerful, and can be used for everything a security professional could want. Whether you’re hacking wireless, exploiting servers, performing a web application assessment, learning, or social-engineering a client, BackTrack is the one-stop-shop for all of your security needs.

Modifications I have in mind so far include:

Partition 2: Portable windows toolset

A collection of portable applications useful for windows users, that don't require installation & don't leave traces behind on the host computer. The idea is that you can plug this into any windows box and instantly have all of the tools you're used to using with your custom settings applied. Very handy for people who move around a lot and use unfamiliar environments. I've been using this myself for years already.

Application list will change over time as I try to find a balance between utility and space requirements..

Partition 3: Stealthy "Switchblade" designed for covert data extraction

Disabled by default for safety, contains my version of the "SwitchBlade" or "HakSaw" usb toolset.

Enable it, tweak your settings, and the next time you plug it into a windows box it will silently & automatically do everything from logging all passwords, copying private user data/documents & more!

This has been heavily tweaked over years of use and contains large amounts of code that was never publicly released. It's almost completely undetectable to 99% of security systems in common usage. If you can access a usb port, you can access the data within.
